notting hill carnival

hands down…probably the biggest show on earth. A million plus maniacs take it to the streets in west london every august. they drink and wine and smoke and dance and shout. There is serious competion about the best representation of the various obscure carribean carnival characters (e.g. moko jumbies on pic one). Some the sound systems will make your ears bleed. Stay away if you are affraid of big crowds…
